We're buying a home with history

Carole and David Colling are about to own a little bit of Low Fell history and they couldn't have done it without Sarah Mains!

They moved into their mid-terraced period property on Joicey Road in 2013 from a larger property on Westover Gardens. Regrettably, David developed Parkinsons Disease and was diagnosed a year past Christmas, so they decided to look for a home on one level which would be more suitable in the future.

Carole said: “Around that time, Sarah Mains had proactively posted a letter through our door explaining they had a huge demand for properties like ours in Low Fell, so we gave Donna a call in the Low Fell branch.  We’d bought Westover Gardens through Sarah Mains years ago and it was brilliant from start to finish, so, like many of Sarah’s customers, we had no hesitation in returning.

“Dawn came out to see us and it was like seeing an old friend.  Her knowledge of Low Fell is superb and her pricing strategy was realistic. The check list on how to stage the house was brilliant too!  Everything they produce is well thought out and they keep the whole process right on track.”

Chris and Dawn in the Low Fell branch actively rang every possible lead in their database and quickly arranged 15 viewings conveniently all on one open viewing day.  This resulted in 11 fantastic offers which went to sealed bids and Carole and David were absolutely gob smacked!

Carole and David found an amazing apartment set in the historic grounds of Whinney House and Chris and Donna went above and beyond to help them to secure the property. One of Sarah’s expert Mortgage Advisors, Dawn Whiffing guided them through the whole process and everything fell into place.

Carole continued: “The kindness and thoughtfulness of the staff has made this selling and buying experience absolutely outstanding.  They took time to understand David’s situation and they did everything they could to negotiate a deal which was good for us and the vendor at Whinney House. Everyone involved in our sale and onward purchase has acted with the utmost professionalism, care and support and we just feel that they have our best interests at heart.  We don’t think other estate agents are like that.”

David said: “I think they are a great team and Sharon has been so helpful progressing our sale and purchase. She works tirelessly to keep things moving and always gets back to you.  It is obviously a very successful estate agency for the reasons that we are saying because they actually give superb customer service.  We would recommend Sarah Mains to anyone and we would have no hesitations in saying they are definitely the best agent around!”
